Well okay back from the bar AFTER Hammerstein so now is not exactly the time to give a full well
written review..

But that said, holy shit. Because of various stupid reasons I've missed the last couple of chances
to see kw live and on some level I guess I figured I'd missed a chance to ever see them so tonight
was a real dream come true. And for all the bootlegs and pictures and video clips I've downloaded I
have to say that nothing could have prepared me for the experience of seeing them live tonight. It
was really all I could have expected and more.

No surprises as you know by now. No computer love in the set list, and nothing really new except
for the mysterious black and white Volkswagen beetle that kept on appearing at random points which
mzde already mentioned. That was pretty weird but considering how put together everything is I
can't imagine it was entirely an accident. Maybe they're just getting playful with it at this point?

Anyway just a few observations.

The wireframe suits which I always have to admit I thought looked a little silly in pictures looked
damned fucking cool in real life.

The sound was as people said the absolute perfect blend of amazingly loud, but perfectly clear. it
was just perfect. And I go to a lot of shows and hang around with a lot of "hum head" audio engineer
types. Really it was amazing.

Some of the tracks which honestly I never dug that much recorded or bootlegged were just
overwhelming live.

EKG though is still just kinda eh..

I'm sad they don't do the mini controller version of pocket calculator but what can you do.

It was great getting to (for just half a second) meet some of the list folks post show even if I was
probably a little bit GAAAH and they were off to go find the boys leaving the place.

Numbers, TEE, radioactivity MNS and to a lesser extent vitamin were just fantastic and overwhelming
although picking the best songs out of the night is kind of a ridiculous exercise in relative
greatnesses.

I guess having heard a lot of the bootlegs and MM and other things, it was stil amazing hearing how
much was tweaked on the spot and the subtle differences in texture and how much it made a difference
and made you feel that you were really getting a live experience out of it.

The crowd was great and full of a bunch of uber fans and people who seemed surprised and new to it.
Overall great peoplewatching :)

It's hard to describe exactly how immersed you end up feeling. I'm kind of left wondering how the
DVD will end up doing it justice, but of course I can't wait to check it out and find out :)

Ah well so I ended up saying a lot but what can I tell you. I danced, I sang along, I thing I durned
near shed a tear when they started neon lights. I would go see it again tomorrow in a heart beat.

One very satisfied customer,

Martin
