Yeah, you got me there. On the one hand it's sad that Tone Float will probably
never be released officially on CD (question - how do you now legally get the LP and then convert it to CD, when the LP is extremely rare - released on UK import but in Germany only, if I remember correctly?). On the other hand, it's not a very good album :-(
Just wondering - besides Ralf and Florian, weren't there other Kraftwerk links? For
example, there were 2 videos on Youtube, which are performances of Ruckzuck
but by Organisation. Then of course the traffic cone on the back of the album...
So now - who would have the rights to Tone Float? The bootleg (!) says "Rainbow
Productions" but that could be the bootleggers. I heard RCA released it, produced it in the UK but only released it in Germany as a UK import - and then
later deleted it? It would be a shame as it was surely among the first Conny Plank
productions...
Let's hope Ralf and Florian get nostalgic in their old age and buy back + release
all their albums - I'm still hanging on to the idea they may have bonus tracks.
Surely they can't let great tracks like Rueckstoss Gondoliere or Kohoutek 1+2
disappear off the face of the earth (besides bootleg CDs and LP conversions that
is!) ...
Cheers
Matt
I guess Matt referred to the Organisation LP.
It'll be great to hear that trilogy remastered, especially the song "KlingKlang" which for me, is something of a lost masterpiece.
